Police in Podgorica arrested Sasa Lakovic and Nemanja Mucalica on suspicion of helping Milos Medenica evade authorities. They allegedly provided him with logistical support and assistance in hiding after he violated supervision measures and was ordered into custody on 28 January 2026.
Authorities say evidence supports the suspicion, and both men will be brought before the Basic State Prosecutor. Police are continuing efforts to locate and arrest Medenica nationally and internationally. An international warrant was issued by Interpol on 29 January. Medenica has been sentenced in a first-instance ruling to 10 years and two months in prison.
